Job Summary

We’re looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll support the Sales Team (RSMs and BDMs) by managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations, and coordinating technical and commercial proposals for Delta Partners and Direct Accounts.

You’ll work closely with internal teams, Delta Electronics, vendors, and customers to ensure a smooth sales process from opportunity development through to order delivery. Success in this role comes from strong coordination skills, responsiveness, and a commitment to supporting both customers and the sales organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Business Development Manager (BDM) across the full sales cycle, from opportunity qualification to contract signing and onboarding, including HQ/factory coordination, CRM updates, and process compliance.
  • Prepare pricing, quotations, and project/application-based proposals for Delta Partners, Direct Accounts, and sales teams.
  • Handle commercial and technical support requests, including RFP/RFI responses, specification reviews, and compliance checks.
  • Support turnkey solution proposals for Direct Accounts
  • Assist Consultant Specialists with specification writing to strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and technical demonstrations (remote and onsite) for End Users, Engineers, Contractors, Architects, and Partners.
  • Provide sales input and strategies using Delta Electronics and EQUIP vendor solutions to drive growth.
  • Support Product Management with customer feedback to align product roadmap with market needs.
  • Collect and share competitive intelligence to support sales and market strategy.
  • Coordinate across internal teams and vendors to ensure accurate specs, purchasing, and delivery.
  • Review and reconcile purchase orders/contracts against quotations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage incoming communications (email, phone, sales line), respond to inquiries, and route leads appropriately.
  • Support End User coordination, including redirects, account identification, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and qualify incoming sales leads.
  • Liaise with RMA teams for replacements, advance swaps, and software upgrades.
  • Attend sales meetings and product training sessions.
  • Maintain strong customer and partner relationships.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of building automation, HVAC, lighting, and room control systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication; additional languages are an asset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally with a valid passport and driver’s license.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Building Services Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, account management, technical support, or the Building Automation Systems industry.
  • AutoCAD and Visio experience preferred.

Work Location: Hybrid (Shift time: 7:30am to 4pm)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Travel: May require infrequent travel to the US for short periods.
Salary: $68,000 to $80,000 CAD

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
